-

Professor Peter Ogban may not be the only Nigerian going to jail for electoral fraud. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has arraigned another professor, Ignatius Uduk, a professor of Human Kinetics in the Department of Physical and Health Education, University of Uyo, for the same offecnce.

Uduk was charged for electoral fraud in Akwa Ibom State senatorial election in which he was accused of unlawful generation of election results in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, and lying under oath.

Uduk was remanded in prison custody in December after the court issued a warrant of arrest on him.
