Nollywood actress and model, Annie Macaulay Idibia, has addressed the controversy that greeted her decision to like a post shared by Senator Ned Nwoko’s fifth wife, Laila Charani, in which she disparaged Regina Daniels.
Laila had, in the lengthy post on her Instagram page on Thursday, accused Regina of introducing her to drugs and tagged her as a bad influence.
This comes amid the ongoing marital breakup between Senator Ned and his sixth wife, Regina.
Speaking via her handle, Laila wrote: “This is why I will not trust my daughters around you unsupervised, especially when I found out that you were sleeping with every single girl around you.”
After the post made the rounds online, Annie, who is known to be an associate of Regina Daniels, liked it.
However, many Nigerians took to the comment section of the post to lambast her and to express disappointment in her action.
While addressing the backlash, Annie, in a post on her Instagram Story, described her reaction to Laila’s post as a “mistake” and assured Regina of her loyalty.
She wrote, “In the process of reading the rubbish that was alleged about my baby, Regina, I liked the post mistakenly. Over here, we don’t play with loyalty, and my baby knows I have her back, front, and side. Make una rest abeg.”
