Angry reactions over Oluwo of Iwo’s appeal for Buhari to forgive Igboho

-

Nigerians  have reacted angrily over report that the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has urged the President Muhammadu Buhari, to forgive Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho.

The Oluwo in a letter to Buhari, urged  the president to  forgive Igboho, promising to bring him to the Villa for ‘peace talk.’

The suggestion by the Oluwo has upset some Nigerians on Twitter who feel Igboho has nothing to apologize for.

@ApostleNonso said: “Haba this is wrong. Igboho only asked that the killing of farmers and villagers should stop. Government should be the one begging him and compensate him for what they did to and in his house. Why do We southerners always bend under pressure.”

@OtunMuri said: “Buhari, please ignore him. We aren’t interested in any settlement. Nobody owns Nigeria more than Nigerians. It’s our wish to go have our own nation. Self determination is a right. Oluwo may not know. Igboho is our son. He’s never seeking any peace other than true federalism.”

@Tundeon said: “You are not serious,  Igboho will not bow before Buhari the oppressor, go and collect your dollar.”
