Daniel Amokachi has tipped West Bromwich Albion striker, Brown Ideye, to shine on in the English Premier League (EPL).
Ideye has scored four goals in three matches, and Amokachi, who played for Everton, said: “I am not surprised that it took him this long (to stabilise), but I believe he will shine in the EPL.
“What people don’t understand is that the Premiership is different from every other league in the world. You know he is coming from Ukraine, and the league in the country is not as fast as the EPL. But after about four months or thereabouts, he has picked steam and I think he would continue this way.”
Amokachi, who holds the record of the first player to score in the current format of the UEFA Champions League, also hinted that Ideye could be on his way back to the Super Eagles.
“I am not speaking now as the assistant coach of the Super Eagles, because I do not know the fate of my boss yet. But I think any coach would look the way of Brown after scoring four goals in three matches. So, I am sure he could be on his way back to the Super Eagles,” he stated.
