AMJON specifically identified Adeniyi as the most impactful Chief Executive Officer in the nation’s maritime industry under whose leadership the NCS has attained unprecedented prominence within and outside the country culminating in his emergence as Chairman of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Council.

Among the great strides listed for Adeniyi’s honour was his ability to lead the service into an era of modernisation through the full deployment of the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS) also known as B’Odogwu with which the service has collected newsworthy sums as revenue across various customs formations nationwide while fast overcoming it’s teething challenges

According to AMJON’s Acting President, Vera Osokpo, Dr Adeniyi’s robust stakeholder engagement, promoting good relationship that results in industrial harmony has contributed immensely to the success associated with the nation’s marine and blue economy sector with seamless trade facilitation and contributing to making Nigeria a viable destination for investments.

Also, being honoured is the NCS spokesman, Assistant Comptroller Abdullahi Aliyu Maiwada.

According to Osokpo, Maiwada has distinguished himself as a Public Relations and Crises Communication expert who deploys skill and modern tools to disseminate information about the service to its teeming audience

According to her, AC Maiwada’s use of artificial intelligence (AI) intuitive and interactive platforms , generating audio visual information with a team of young communicators in customs uniform has earned the service the honour of being Nigeria’s most vibrant in public information

The NCS usage of digital tools through its Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network (NCBN), verified social media accounts and its deployment of multi media facilities for public events have proven to be second to none in the nation’s maritime space

AMJON is also honouring some other commands ,organisations, and individuals as part of the epoch ceremony.
