Fatman Scoop was seen in a video
struggling after he climbed the stage before disappearing from view, as medics raced to revive him

American rapper and radio personality, Isaac Freeman, better known as Fatman Scoop, has passed on.
The 53-year-old singer died on Friday after collapsing while performing at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut.
His family announced his death on Saturday morning but gave no cause.
In their statement, they referred to Freeman as “a radiant soul, a beacon of light on the stage and in life” who, of being a “world-class performer” was also “a father, brother, uncle and a friend.”

They added, “FatMan Scoop was known to the world as the undisputed voice of the club. His music made us dance and embrace life with positivity. His joy was infectious and the generosity he extended to all will be deeply missed but never forgotten.”
Also announcing his demise, his tour manager said he was ‘lost for words.’
A viral video which revealed the moment Scoop collapsed on stage later surfaced on social media.

Fatman Scoop is survived by his son, daughter and brother
