English Football League (EFL) Cup was historically known as League Cup, and it is currently called Carabao Cup being the name of the sponsor.
It started 61years ago and the inaugural final was played between Rotherham United and Aston Villa.
Liverpool and Manchester City are the two most successful clubs in the competition. They have 8 trophies each. Manchester City is also the current cup holder.
A total of 92 clubs from all tiers of English football were involved in the competition and the winner automatically qualifies for UEFA Europa League.
The competition is currently at the 3rd round stage. Below are the results :
