Nigerian actor, Alex Ekubo has cautioned veteran actress, Regina Askia not to rush to a conclusion on the allegation of fraud levelled against music star, Daniel Oyebanjo better known as D’banj.
TheNiche reported that the musician was picked up on Tuesday, by ICPC for allegedly diverting funds earmarked by the Nigerian government for the N-Power project, an empowerment programme set up by the Nigerian government in 2016
It was also learnt that the singer, who had failed to honour his summons for months, finally surrendered himself on Tuesday after ICPC threatened to arrest him.

After the news of his arrest made the rounds, his colleague, Regina Askia took to social media to comment on the development.
She wrote, “As soon as we hear from D’Banj we will…”
Reacting to her comment, another Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo cautioned against jumping to a hasty conclusion.
He said, “Mummy I don’t think you should have posted this”
In screenshots of a chat Askia shared, Alexx appealed to her to take down her post on D’banj’s arrest, adding that it was not in their place to judge him.
In her response, the actress appreciated him for looking out for her but wondered why people would have to shy away from the truth because of backlash
She, however, promised to take down the post while sharing their chat as the reason for her action.
