Former Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, has applauded the signing of young goalkeeper, Senne Lammens, noting that the Belgian has been ‘outstanding’ since arriving at Old Trafford.
He made this known during a recent interview with Receday RTV.
Following a below-par performance from Andre Onana and his understudy, Altay Bayındır, the Red Devils signed Lammens in an £18 million deal from Royal Antwerp during the summer.
Since then, the 23-year-old shot-stopper has looked solid in his first five appearances for Man United.
When asked if he is happy with the club’s performance so far, Ferguson said he has been impressed with Ruben Amorim’s summer signings.

According to the legendary United ex-manager, Lammens, Mbeumo, and Cunha have improved the performance of the Premier League giants.
The 83-year-old Scott said, “Well, they are, the signs… the manager has had some good signs,” when asked .
“Particularly, the goalkeeper has been outstanding, he’s only played three or four games and he’s looking really good.
“Of course, Mbeumo and Cunha, the new players from Wolves and Brentford, they’ve added to it. I hope the manager gets a bit of success because at United you need to have success. The signs are getting better.
“I think back-to-back wins is something teams like United should always expect. But having gone through a cycle where the improvement has to come by waiting and being patient, they are enjoying it now.”
Man United are currently 7th on the Premier League table. Before the international break, they forced Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-2 draw
