Gross Creek Golf Club Ilado, Akure in conjunction with Akoko North West Local Government (ANWLG) are organizing a Golf Kitty in honour of the 30 years anniversary of the council.
The golf kitty will take place at Greek Golf Course, Ilado in Akure, the Ondo state capital on 18th of September, 2021 between 7am and 10am.
The Anniversary Committee Chairman, Hon. Anthony Adeyanju has revealed that the organizers are leaving no stone unturned towards making the celebration a huge success.
Adeyanju who is also the Vice Chairman of the Council noted that the event is carefully packaged to leave a lasting memory and as a reference point in the annals of Akoko history. He said it is also to make the ANWLG 30th anniversary a milestone event.
He also listed other activities lined up for the one week event whose preparation is in full swing to include; World Press Conference, Environmental Sanitation, Football Match,Youth and Women Conferences, Gala Nite featuring Awards Ceremony to honour deserving personalities and an impactful Economic Summit.
Adeyanju, while addressing some eminent personalities and Youths within the LG, sought for genuine support from all and sundry towards making the event success and also to use it as avenue to further catalyse rapid development at the grassroots.
Adeyanju boasted that so far with the level of preparedness and all the strategies and logistic deployed by the different Committee members that the event will be a huge success.
Saying, “I can assure you that the kind of support so far received from our people both at home and in Diaspora is overwhelming and it is testimony to the fact that the value our people attached to the creation of the Council”
He concluded with a clarion call to those eminent Citizens of ANWLG who have been contacted and those yet unreached to make sure they participate in the event either by their physical presence or by their acts of kindness and generosity through financial donations.
“Regardless of whom you are, where you are we all must make this event a huge success. We need your financial and spiritual support in term of prayer and physical presence at all the events lined up”, he added.
