Akeredolu duly earned his victory, says Tunji-Ojo

A Member of the House of Representatives, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has congratulated Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on his victory at the just concluded Ondo state governorship election. He said the victory was duly earned.

Tunji-Ojo who is representing Akoko North West and Akoko North East in the House of Representatives in a statement said that winners of the election are the people of Ondo State.

According to him, “the much awaited governorship election in Ondo State has come and gone with victories and defeats but we are grateful to God and the people of Ondo State that the victory went the way of our talk-and-do Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and our great party, APC.”

He added: “I acknowledge the resilience and team spirit of candidates of other political parties for taking up the challenge of contesting the election and their patriotism is not taken for granted because I understand they were motivated by passion for the development of our dear state.

“While no one should solely take glory for this feat, it’s important to state that the winners of the election are the people of Ondo State.

“The least I could say is a THANK YOU to you as citizens of our dear state. You have taken a stand for which generations unborn will be grateful for.

“We combed the length and breadth of the state mobilising and canvassing for your support and you never let us down.

“I congratulate the man of the moment, Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu who has earned the trust of the people to govern them for another four years,” he said.

He said Governor Akeredolu would continue in the mission to develop Ondo, and pleaded with the people of Ondo state to trust the governor on this.

“I want to thank President Muhammadu Buhari who kept to his words by allowing a free and fair election under his watch,” he said.
