Brume smashed Ajunwa’s long standing jump record of 7:12m with a new one 7:17m at the weekend in US athletics meet.

“I’m very happy that the record was finally broken. There are records that had lasted for one year, two years unbroken. Most times I ask myself why is this record unbroken? Finally Brumen broke it, this shows we have girls in the country that are still pushing and working hard for something remarkable”

She beliefs that Chioma Ajunwa Foundation would succeed in producing more talent girls like Brume in Nigeria.
