Aiyedatiwa has so far won in all the local government areas declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

Ondo State Governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lucky Aiyedatiwa has continued to maintain a solid lead over the rest of the state’s gubernatorial candidates after results of 15 local government areas were declared by the electoral umpire.
According to results so far released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Aiyedatiwa garnered a total of 301,113 votes, while his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 97,051 votes, leaving a margin of 204,062 votes.
The collation, directed by INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner Oluwatoyin Babalola, began at about 12:35 am on Sunday.
Thereafter, the Returning Officer, Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, announced the results of 13 of the 18 LGAs in Ondo State before the officials proceeded on break.

After collation of results resumed, INEC further declared the results of Okitipupa and Akure North LGAs, meaning only results of three local government areas are now outstanding.
Aiyedatiwa has so far won in all the local government areas announced by INEC.
Collation will resume at 12 noon when the final results will be declared and a winner returned.
