Aiyedatiwa approves recruitment of 1,100 Primary school teachers in Ondo

The Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has approved the employment of 1,100 teachers by Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, (ODSUBEB).
The directive was given by the governor after the completion of the recruitment process.
In a statement issued by the Director, Information and Public Relations (ODSUBEB), Prince ‘Bolu Diesel Ajijo stated that the recruitment was part of deliberate efforts to fill critical vacancies in public primary schools across the State.
This is coming less than two weeks to the approval and documentation of over one thousand teachers for public secondary schools in the state.
The Chairman of ODSUBEB, Mr. Victor Olambitan appreciated Mr. Governor for approving the recruitment aimed at addressing gaps and possible shortfalls created by workers leaving the Public Service.
Olabimtan said the recruitment will go a long way to improve Pupils –Teachers’ Ratio in the public primary schools.
He, however, noted that it would help the quality of education delivered in schools, especially in rural and hard to reach areas across the state.
Documentation for the successful candidates will begin this week. Full details on how successful applicants will check for their names and commence documentation will soon be made public.
