Activist and popular social media influencer, Aisha Yesufu, has called on lawmakers in the upper chamber of the Nigerian National Assembly to impeach the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
She challenged the legislators on Friday via a post shared on her official X (formerly Twitter) page.
In the now-trending post, Yesufu told the senators to stop playing the roles of “both the bad and good cop” by blaming Akpabio alone.
She noted that the legislators possess the constitutional power to ensure that the real-time electronic transmission of election results is passed into law.
She also reminded them that they had no issue ratifying the state of emergency imposed by President Bola Tinubu on Rivers State.

Writing via her verified handle, Yesufu stated: “Dear Senators, stop playing ‘bad cop, good cop’ with us. None of you is blameless.
“You are either active or passive participants in disenfranchising the Nigerian people and subverting their power to choose who governs them.
“You are all supposed to be the voices of the people. Instead of press conferences, X spaces, and media appearances, go to the Red Chamber and fight for the soul of Nigeria!
“You have the constitutional power and authority to ensure that real-time electronic transmission of elections is passed into law. You did so with the state of emergency in Rivers State.
“Stop telling us Akpabio is the problem! You all have the power to impeach Akpabio. DO IT.”
