Aguata LGA produced the three front runners, Soludo, Uba, and Ozigbo, but election results from the LGA reveal APGA candidate is the favorite.

Results from Aguata LGA have revealed Charles Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was chosen among three candidates from the Local Government Area.
APGA, APC, and PDP candidates are from Aguata LGA, and they are the three front-runners in the Anambra governorship election.

The APGA candidate, Soludo, defeated Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) according to the result obtained from INEC in the LGA.
Soludo almost doubled the votes gathered by his nearest rival, as he pulled 9,136 votes, Uba, APC candidate, came a distant second with 4,773 votes, while Ozigbo, the PDP candidate, came third with 3,798 votes.
According to The Cable, the Returning Officer, Alim Ajake, while announcing the result said the election did not hold in some units in four wards.
He listed the affected wards as Umuchu I Ekwulobia II, Igbo-Ukwu I, and Igbo-Ukwu II. Ajake also said the total number of registered voters in Aguata LGA is 144,766.
A total of 20,809 voters were accredited, while 20,202 voted, out of which 19,548 votes were valid and 654 were rejected.
