Aside from its sour-sweet taste, African cherry, popularly known as Agbalumo in Yoruba, Udara, in Igbo has proven to be effective in the cure of some diseases naturally.
Known in Africa and generally consumed in Nigeria has some natural features, nutrients that cures diseases that presumably, 70% of its lovers are yet to know or do not know even though it is highly consumed when in season.

This natural fruit which season commences from December to April has 25mg of vitamin C per 100gram of fruits, 119 calories, proteins, 683mg of potassium, Carbohydrates, Terpenoids,10g of total carbs, flavonoids.
