D’Tigers with the win, finished top of Group B following earlier wins against Madagascar and Tunisia.

Nigeria’s senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, have qualified for the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2025 FIBA Men’s AfroBasket after a 101-92 victory over Cameroon.
In a gripping encounter played at the Pavilhao Multiusos de Luanda, Angola, Nigeria showcased their dominance early in the match.
They clinched the first quarter narrowly, finishing 28-27, before delivering a commanding performance in the second quarter, outscoring Cameroon 32-16.
The third quarter was equally impressive, with Mohammed Abdulrahman’s men securing a substantial 26-12 lead.

However, the final quarter saw a dramatic shift as Cameroon rallied, winning 37-15, but it was not enough to overturn Nigeria’s earlier advantage.
With the win, D’Tigers finished top of Group B following earlier wins against Madagascar and defending champions Tunisia.
Cameroon on the other hand, recorded victories over Tunisia and Madagascar in their opening two games and will now proceed to the play-offs to confirm their place in the last eight.
