Representing diverse political affiliations and senatorial districts, the freshly sworn-in senators are Prince Pam Mwadkon of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) for Plateau North, Professor Anthony Ani of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ebonyi South, and Mustapha Musa, also of the APC, for Yobe East.

The formalities were conducted by the Clerk to the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, who led the senators through the oaths of office and allegiance, as directed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Following the administration of the oaths, the new senators were escorted to their designated seats by the Sergeant-At-Arms.

The addition of these three senators alters the composition of the Senate, resulting in the following distribution of lawmakers and their affiliated political parties: APC – 59, PDP – 37, LP – 7, NNPP – 2, SDP – 2, APGA – 1, and ADP – 1.
