Adeyanju also described Imo federal lawmaker, Ugochinyere as a courageous PDP member expelled by APC’s moles

Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has berated Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after it expelled House of Representatives member representing Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency of Imo State, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere.
Speaking via his official X page, the popular activist described the PDP as a dead party.
TheNiche had earlier reported that PDP expelled Ugochinyere for alleged gross indiscipline, insubordination, and anti-party activities.
His expulsion was contained in a letter from the Ideato LGA chapter of PDP, dated December 5, 2024, and signed by the LGA Chairman, Hon. ThankGod Okeke, and the Secretary, Onyebuchi Umeh.
The letter sacking the spokesman of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) was addressed to the state chairman.

His expulsion followed the report of the party’s disciplinary committee, dated November 27, 2024, which investigated misconduct charges against the Omo State federal lawmaker, in line with Section 57 (1-4) of the PDP constitution 2017, as amended.
However, the National Working Committee (NWC) of PDP later dismissed the purported expulsion by the leadership of the party in Imo State
Reacting to the development, Adeyanju described Ugochinyere as a courageous PDP member expelled by APC’s moles.
He also wondered why PDP expelled the legislator when the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is still a member of the party.
Speaking via his verified social media handle, Adeyanju tweeted, “Ikenga Ugochinyere, the courageous one, has been expelled for anti-party by APC moles who are in charge of PDP, but Wike is still a member of the PDP.
“The jokes write themselves daily. The PDP is a dead party awaiting funeral rites.”
