Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has urged former presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar; Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to consider placing bets on “BetNaija” rather than spend their money on the 2027 presidential election.
He gave the advice on Wednesday via his official X page, where he also noted that the politicians would be contesting against President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria’s electral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The activist went on to say the three 2023 presidential aspirants cannot defeat the incumbent president even if they form an alliance.

He further alluded to the recently concluded Edo State gubernatorial election, alleging that results on IREV were changed.
Speaking via his verified social media page, Adeyanju tweeted, “It is better for Atiku, Obi & Kwankwaso to use their money to play two odds on BetNaija than to contest against Tinubu & INEC.
“Even if they all unite now, it’s all for nothing. It’s a waste of time to contest elections in a nation where results on IREV are changed. Edo on my mind.
“I will waste my vote is no longer finding it funny. And Tinubu is just starting. The best time the opposition had to defeat APC was the last election if they united. Even if they all come together now, Tinubu & INEC will not lose an election Tinubu will conduct.”
