Adeleke described the elevation of new COAS and Customs CG as a recognition of their capacities and track records

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has applauded the appointments of Major General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Adewale Bashir Adeniyi as the Acting Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service.
The former senator also described their elevation as a recognition of their capacities and outstanding track records, while also expressing strong belief in their ability to deliver.
He made this known in a congratulatory message made available by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Tuesday in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

Adeleke in the statement went on to thank President Bola Tinubu for trusting the two indigenes of his state with important roles and called their elevation a great honour.
He said: “The two agency heads are thoroughbred professionals. The records of General Lagbaja and Mr Adeniyi in their respective services are assuring that they will take their organizations to greater levels of efficiency and optimal performance in the discharge of their constitutional duties,”
The governor also stated that Lagbaja and Adeniyi are the pride of the South-west state.
He further assured the two agency heads of his government’s support and cooperation, saying they are in his prayers.
