English singer and songwriter, Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, known mononymously as Adele, has opened up on her mental battle with gender and sexuality, saying she feels “trapped.”
She made this known while addressing a crowd during her recent sold-out show in Munich, Germany.
According to the 36-year-old artiste, despite being a straight woman, she often feels like “a gay man.”
Speaking while on stage, the multiple Grammy-winning singer said: “I often think I’m a gay man trapped in a straight woman’s body.”

Adele prior to this, in an interview with German broadcaster ZDF, announced that she would be taking a break from music soon.
She added that after the last leg of her ongoing tour in November, she would start exploring new creative pursuits.
The Briton after graduating in arts from the BRIT School in 2006 signed a record deal with XL Recordings.
Her debut album, 19, which included the UK top-five singles “Chasing Pavements” and “Make You Feel My Love” was released in 2008.
The album sold over 2.5 million copies in the UK and was named in the top 20 best-selling debut albums ever in the UK.
