Nigerian highlife singer and graphic designer, Adekunle Kosoko, known professionally as Adekunle Gold, has said that relationships need a lot of money to survive.
The singer disclosed this on Instagram while responding to a question from Erica about his love life with his wife, Simi, who incidentally is another successful singer.
The reality star, Erica Nlewedim, got inquisitive and wanted to know how men who have no money cope with being in relationships with beautiful women.

Erica specifically asked Adekunle Gold how he coped when he had no money and was in a relationship with his then girlfriend, Simi.
She said: “How were you and Simi able to stay together for years when there was no
money?”
Adekunle Gold replied using a lyric from one of his songs, suggesting a lot of money was required to make Simi happy and stay in the relationship.
“Love is not enough.” the highlife maestro replied.
Another Nigerian musician, Omah Lay joined the conversation. He, however, disagreed with Adekunke Gold, saying money can never replace or buy love in a relationship and that love is the ultimate.
As he declares: “Love is everything for real.”
Adekunle Gold was recently chastised by Instagram users, as they accused him of seductively looking at Erica and warned him against letting Simi notice such.
