Maureen Okpoko made this known in a social media post, where she also solicited for financial aid to treat her vision impairment before she goes blind

Nollywood veteran thespian, Maureen Okpoko, has made an appeal to well meaning Nigerians to come to her aid before she goes totally blind.
The actress made the passionate plea in a trending video on social media, saying she needed urgent medical attention to treat her vision impairment.
Okpoko further said she is desperately reaching out to Nigerians for financial assistance because
she could lose her sight completely if they are not urgently attended to.

According to the 62-year-old movie star, living with vision loss has been tough but added that she is grateful to God for the gift of life.
She went on to explain why she needed urgent medical attention, saying delay may result in her losing her vision permanently.
Okpoko said: “I suddenly lost my sight, that means I can no longer see or I can’t see for now.
“I’m seeking for your financial assistance, it would be greatly appreciated if y’all can come to my aid.”
The actress also asked her fans to continue to pray for her, even as she seeks their encouragement.
“I also need your prayers and words of encouragement, it has not been an easy journey for me, but I’m grateful for the gift of life. Thank y’all’” she added.
Maureen Okpoko who is from Anambra state has appeared in many Nigerian soap operas which include Red Scorpion, Baby Oku, Clinic Matters, University Mafias, Dear Mother and Sorrowful.
She has also featured in many Nollywood movies such as Crazy Temper, The Banker, Wasted, Enemy of Light, Falling, Matured Games, One Room, Labour Room, The Duplex and others.
