Actor, Yemi Solade says Nigeria is depressing

Solade in a recent social media post, lamented the current state of the country, claiming one must belong to the cult to survive

Nigerian actor and movie producer, Yemi Solade in a recent cryptic post confessed to being depressed about the state of the country. 

The veteran thespian via a social media post on Saturday morning lamented about how bad Nigeria is, claiming one must belong to the cult to survive in it.

Taking to his Instagram page, Solade wrote, “Depression, God help me please.” In a subsequent post, the film star also said, “Nigeria, To live and survive in it one must belong to the cult.”

After his posts made the rounds on social media, many fans and Nollywood colleagues who wondered what was happening to the actor, took to his comment section to encourage him.

One of his colleagues who offered words of encouragement was Bolanle Ninalowo, who urged him to shake the feeling off.  

“One must belong to GOD baba! Only God is 👑! Shake it off, pick up that bible. Read to understand and not just to pray and after wards see the blessings all around you. Smile and hit the gym,” Ninalowo wrote in the comment section.

An IG user identified as sublynn said: “Please his family should check on him. This is not a matter to play around with.” 

Another internet user, lingeriebytemmy wrote: “His colleagues should check up on him oo.” 

ifeoluwa_mighty added: “Chaii God be with him . E be like say na only me no Dey depression for this country ooo . Na only food and more food Dey my head.” 

While ___nemmi’s wrote: “We really need to start taking mental health serious in this part of the world. Depression sometimes ain’t always feeling deep sadness, sometimes is watching yourself loose interest in everything you love and not able to do anything about it.”
