Actor, Chinedu Ikedieze mourns Ada Ameh

Chinedu Ikedieze expressed shock at the sudden demise of her colleague and recalled how they waited  for the confirmation of her death before making comments

Ace Nigerian actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, who is also a cast alongside late actress Ada Ameh in the popular Africa Magic family drama, ‘The Johnsons’ has expressed shock at the demise of his colleague.

Ada Ameh, who was known as Emu in the popular TV comedy series died on Sunday, July 17, around 11pm after battling mental health-related issues.

The late thespian played the role of   Emuakpo Johnson, the mother of Chinedu Ikedieze who was known as Efetobere Johnson in the TV drama.

Reacting to the news of Ada Ameh’s death, the Abia State-born actor, who expressed shock about the incident, recalled how they were made to wait for the confirmation of her demise before making comments.

He wrote, “It was really hard to post this as we, the cast & crew of  @OfficialTheJohnsonsfamily and Native Media tv had waited under advisement from Ada’s manager to secure a physical confirmation from Warri. Sadly 😢, he did confirm our fears.

“We are broken-hearted 😭😭 as we painfully affirm the passing of our dear sister, friend, colleague, screen mum, and Matriarch of The Johnsons clan, Ada Obande Ameh (aka Emuakpor Johnson).”

“To all our teeming fans around the world, we have truly lost a rare and vibrant gem, but celebrate the life of an icon who daily put smiles on every face and spread love in every home. Together, we join our voices with yours to offer prayers on behalf of the family. May God grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. 

“ADA, You will be missed  but your memory will live on in our hearts forever,”

TheNiche had earlier reported that Ada Ameh, who turned 48 in May,  was pronounced dead after she was rushed to a hospital in Delta State.
