Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has blamed her false information on the release of Katsina schoolboys to hackers.
She had earlier claimed that the post wasn’t made by her Twitter handle. But when confronted with screenshots of her verified twitter handle carrying the fake information, she changed the story, alleging that the post was made at the time she lost control of her Twitter account
She said: “Pls don’t credit any post on katsina boys to my twitter handle. I lost control of my handle in the last couple of minutes, along with my Instagram. I have recovered and changed my password.”
Her initial explanation was that the post was made by a fake Twitter handle not hers while Replying to @timi_taiwo_who tweeted that: “@abikedabiri posted the story of the boys release, and she was quick to praise Buhari. Now she’s deleted the post. Propaganda government.”
She replied him by saying that: “Be careful of fake handles. Not mine pls”
