Heavy rains rendered the pitch unplayable and with the encounter 0-0 at half time, the center referee, Musari Musa from Bauchi State decided the game would not continue.

The match commissioner, Ahmad Muhammed, from Kano State confirmed that the game will be continued from the start of the 2nd half at 7.30am on Thursday morning.
