The commander general made the appeal in Umuahia when he was honoured by the Nigerian Big and Beauty Pageant group in collaboration with Cascoji organization for heading the most organized state security outfit in the South-East and South-South Zone.

He said that the Abia Vigilante was empowered by the Abia State House of Assembly Law.

“Abia State Vigilante group wants to use this opportunity to call on the inspector general of police to see the group as sister-security agency that has been assisting the police in fighting crime and other related offences in the state. We were empowered by the Abia State House of Assembly Law. So leave us alone. We are happy to work and associate with the police,” Idika said.
