.Hails Kwara’s 34-year-old SAN
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Monday commiserated with the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara Central, Alhaji Jimoh Adeshina, over the death of his son, Awwal.
He said, “We received reports of Awwal’s death with shock and sadness. It is one death too many, given his young age and potential to contribute his quota to the development of our state.
“We urge Alhaji Adeshina and his family to stand firm in their belief in the finality of God’s judgment over human affairs. We stand with them in this sad period and pray to the Almighty to repose the soul of young Awwal and grant the family the fortitude to bear this huge loss.”
Meanwhile, the
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Sunday held a telephone conversation with the 34-year-old Muyiwa Tola Atoyebi, who was recently elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
According to a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the new SAN, Atoyebi, who hails from Igosun community of Kwara State, was among the lawyers recently admitted into the exclusive club of eminent legal practitioners.
The 34-year-old is the youngest Nigerian to be admitted into the inner bar established in 1975.
“The Governor congratulated the learned silk for making Kwara proud. He prayed that God will continue to guide him,” according to the chief press secretary.
His words:
“The Governor believes Mr Atoyebi is a good example of what young people should aspire to. He urges the youth to emulate him and be the best at whatever they do.”
