Mr Olamide George from Akure North constituency has emerged as the New Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly.
The Deputy Speaker, Mr Abimbola Fajolu from Ile oluji/Okeigbo constituency also elected by the lawmakers in a tense session in Akure today.
The change was effected at a rowdy tense session where Princess Jumoke
Akindele was picked as acting Speaker before the emergence of the new leadership.

However, political thugs allegedly sponsored by the ousted leaders stormed the House and attacked the assembly complex.
The thugs who beat up both staff and Honorable members armed with stick, cane, cutlasses, axes, clubs and harms were supervised by policemen on duty.
