Lead City University honours Nigerians

Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Solomon Olaniyonu, and a Senior Correspondent with TheNiche, Ishaya Ibrahim, have been honoured for outstanding contributions to youth and national development in Nigeria.

They were among ten others given the awards by Lead City Voices, a group of students in the University.

The others are David Ojo, a lawyer based in the United Kingdom; Mrs. Bidemi Babalola, a director at Youth Focus Initiative, Lagos State, Isaac Oluyi of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; Timi Olagunju, a lawyer based in Lagos.

 

Adejoke Layi-Babatunde of LawBreed Foundation; Henry Ojoye, publisher, Digest Magazine Int’l, Gbenga Omisore, Publisher of Youth Digest Africa magazine and Seyi Gesinde, Online Editor, Nigerian Tribune.

The award ceremony came at the end of a three-day debate by the students on “100 years after amalgamation, Nigeria unity not negotiable.”

 

Lead City University Vice Chancellor, Professor Olufemi Onabajo, commended the students and maintained that the university is the best in Nigeria in terms of producing well rounded graduates.
