Barely 3 hours after the first explosion in Kaduna today targeting a religious gathering at the Muhammed Murtala Square in kaduna State, another bomb has gone off in the same city.
The second explosion, which went off at Kawo, is suspected to have been targeting some of the people who have come from as far as neighbouring states for the Tafsir conducted by Sheik Dahiru Bauchi.
The second unpleasant incident, which took place around 3:30 pm, was aimed at Muslim faithful who attended this year’s last annual Tafsir (Ramada lecture) of the highly-regarded Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, an eye witness said.
Although the casualty figure is still unclear, our source said scores of people could be affected as the area where the bomb went off is usually crowded.
Kawo is very close to 1st Division of the Nigerian Army in Kaduna.
