Oyo holds valedictory exco meeting for Aremu, retiring Head of Service

Members of the Oyo State Executive Council on Monday extolled the virtues of the retiring Head of Service, Alhaji Tajudeen Olasunkanmi Aremu, describing him as an administrator par excellence who had added value to the state civil service.

 

 

They made the remarks while speaking at the valedictory State Executive Council held at the State Executive Chambers in honour of Alhaji Aremu who was retiring after serving the state for 35 years.

The executive council meeting was presided over by the Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Adeyemo who counseled every member of the council to remember that one day, they would leave their post but should be conscious of the legacy they would leave behind.

 

 

He advised the outgoing head of service to be careful in whatever investment he would go into to avoid being duped by men of the underworld.

The state Commissioner for Lands, Mr. Isaac Omodewu and an Executive Assistant to the Governor, Dr. Morohunkola Thomas described Alh. Aremu as a patriotic citizen of the state who contributed immensely to the success of the Ajimobi administration.

 

 

The State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Bimbo Kolade and his counterpart in the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Zacheaous Adelabu also admonished the outgoing Head of Service not to entertain fear of the unknown after retirement.

 

 

In his response, Alh. Aremu expressed appreciation to Governor Abiola Ajimobi for giving him the opportunity to serve his administration, having being appointed 10 days before the expiration of the immediate past administration.
