Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed Ezri Konsa picked up a knock in their 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) league phase on Wednesday night in Prague.
The Spanish manager confirmed the England defender’s injury while addressing journalists during his post-match press conference.
During the European encounter, Viktor Gyökeres scored and provided an assist for Noni Madueke’s opening goal as Arsenal continued their unbeaten start to this season’s Champions League campaign.
However, Konsa, who started the match alongside Gabriel Magalhães in central defence, was forced off with a knee injury during the second half.

He was replaced by Cristhian Mosquera after sustaining the injury, with the fit-again William Saliba also among the substitutes.
Speaking after the match, Arteta admitted that Konsa has featured heavily in recent weeks.
Confirming the defender’s injury, the Arsenal boss said: “He is obviously playing a lot; he’s played so many games in the last few weeks. He had some issues, and we decided to take him off.”
Arsenal will now face Hull City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, with Konsa a major doubt for the encounter.
