Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has once again reiterated the need for President Bola Tinubu to go home and rest after the 2027 presidential election, claiming he lacks the energy to continue ruling Nigeria.
He made the latest call on Wednesday, 4 November while speaking at a town hall meeting in Calabar, Cross River State.
Obi first made explicit remarks questioning Tinubu’s stamina during the inauguration of the NDC National Campaign Council in Abuja.
He stated that ‘President Tinubu does not have the energy and resolve required to lead Nigeria today, and he must go home,’ pointing out that Nigeria needs a president who is physically available and active.

In his latest advice, the former Anambra State governor urged Tinubu to ‘go home’ after the 2027 presidential election because he is tired.
He also urged Nigerians to vote for a competent leader with the capacity and commitment to rebuild the country.
Obi said: ‘We want you to go out and help us elect somebody who is competent, somebody who has capacity, with compassion and commitment to building another Nigeria.
’We want to build a country where the child of a nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody.
’Tinubu is tired; he does not have the energy for the job, he should go home.’
