‘Anybody who rigs election, we will kill him,’ Omo-Agege warns

The senatorial candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Delta Central Senatorial District, Ovie Omo-Agege, has issued a chilling warning to anyone who rigs an election in his district, declaring that it would be a case of “rig and die.”
Omo-Agege, a former Deputy Senate President, roused the crowd at a recent rally, declaring that they would not wait for the courts to determine the outcome of the election, as victory would be secured at the polling units.
The excited crowd echoed Omo-Agege’s “rig and die” slogan as he explained the implications of electoral fraud to his audience.
“If they rig the election, they are rigging your future. They are rigging the future of your children,” he said.
He added: “Anybody who rigs election that day, we will kill him. If you don’t value your life, go and rig election.
“We are waiting for them (election riggers). Let them try it. It is rig and die.”
