Muhammad Murtala Musa D Provost, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election, has rejected his appointment.

Musa D Provost, who was appointed to the campaign’s New Media Committee, announced his rejection of the appointment in a statement dated September 7, 2026, and addressed to the APC.

He said his attention was drawn to a published list containing his name as a member of the New Media Committee of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee for the 2027 election.

He said the committee is under the leadership of Dada Olusegun, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on New Media.

“I hereby categorically and emphatically reject this so-called appointment for this reason,” Musa stated.

He said he would instead use his energy to promote any candidate who promises to restore the petrol subsidy if elected president in 2027.

“I will use my energy to market whoever promises to restore petrol subsidy and win the 2027 presidency even if it is President Bola Tinubu,” he said.

Musa D Provost also said he was unwilling to defend politicians whom he blamed for the hardship being experienced by Nigerians.

“I am not among the citizens who defend the people who created their suffering,” he added.
