Adarabioyo signed a permanent deal with Chelsea rivals Tottenham for approximately £7 million before the close of the transfer window.

British commentator and former England defender John Terry has revealed that Tosin Adarabioyo was disappointed when he learnt he was not in Xabi Alonso’s plans at Chelsea, saying he was “gutted”.
The Chelsea legend revealed this recently while discussing the defender’s Stamford Bridge exit on the George Benson Football Channel, a YouTube channel dedicated to Chelsea news.
Adarabioyo joined Chelsea two years ago on a free transfer from Fulham, subsequently making 70 appearances across all competitions for the Blues.
However, the 28-year-old found himself on the fringes during Chelsea’s pre-season under Alonso and was excluded from the matchday squad for the Spaniard’s first three competitive fixtures.
His situation was worsened by the signing of Maxence Lacroix and the emergence of Josh Acheampong, as he moved further down the pecking order.

Knowing he was surplus to requirements, Adarabioyo made the short journey across London, signing a permanent deal with rivals Tottenham for approximately £7 million on deadline day.
However, while discussing the deal, former Chelsea captain Terry said that the defender was unhappy at the sudden end of his stay with the Blues.
Speaking on the show, he said: “I spoke with Tosin recently and asked him, ‘What did the manager say?’ He replied, ‘I’m just not in his plans.’
“He [Tosin] said, ‘I fully respect it. I’d love to prove him wrong here, but I’ve been informed that I need to find another club, and I’m gutted because I’ve only been here a couple of years.’
“Tosin is clearly disappointed by this situation, but the manager is very straightforward, being honest with the players and leaving no ambiguity whatsoever.”
