Phyna joins march in support of Cross River governor’s ‘good governance’
BBNaija star Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna was seen participating in a solidarity march tagged the “One Million Man March,” held in Calabar today, on Friday, August 14, 2026.
The march was organized in solidarity with Cross River State Governor, Bassey Edet Otu, and his administration, with participants commending what they described as good governance and expressing support for his administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
The event attracted hundreds of APC support groups and individuals who took to the streets from Millennium Park in Calabar and proceeded through different parts of the state capital.
Phyna is a former BBNaija housemate and the winner of Season 7 of the reality TV show.
Speaking during the march, she expressed her support for the governor and urged Nigerians to give the same energy they devote to criticizing bad governance to acknowledging and encouraging good governance.
She said such support would motivate leaders who are performing well to do even more for the people.
“When my friend here told me about this peaceful march, I told him that I was interested in joining because the same strength we are using to talk about bad governance, we should also apply the same force to encourage those that are doing well… it will also encourage the governor to do well throughout his remaining tenure”
