Piers Morgan and Cristiano Ronaldo share a strong bond, with the British broadcaster having defended the iconic striker on a number of occasions.

British broadcaster Piers Morgan and American influencer and online streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr, better known as IShowSpeed, have congratulated Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo after he finally wedded his long-time fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez.
The duo hailed his decision in separate messages sent to the 41-year-old striker after he made the announcement on Instagram.
Ronaldo and Georgina tied the knot in a civil ceremony on Tuesday in Cascais, Portugal. The ceremony was private and intimate, attended by their five children.
The Al-Nassr forward later shared a photo of the couple’s hands displaying their wedding bands on his verified account.

The wedding comes 12 months after Georgina announced their engagement by sharing a picture of her ring on social media with a caption that translated as: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
Reacting to their decision to finally tie the knot, Morgan wrote in a post on X: “Congrats to my friends @Cristiano & Georgina on their wedding today in Portugal!
“They’re a great couple, and I wish them a long and happy marriage together. Parabéns!”
Joining in the celebration, IShowSpeed shared an ecstatic online reaction as the couple finally walked down the aisle after nearly a decade together.
Speaking during a livestream, he shouted: “My boy CR7 put the ring on the finger!” before going on to congratulate Ronaldo and express genuine happiness for him.
