Mrs. Ugochi Otti-Essienette, the Lagos Liaison Officer for Abia State, marked her 44th birthday last Sunday, July 19, 2025, with an empowerment program for 44 women, mostly widows and indigent women, and the official unveiling of her non-profit organization, The Grace and Impact Foundation.

The event, held in Lagos, was attended by family members, friends, sponsors, partners, community leaders, beneficiaries, and well-wishers.

Speaking at the launch, Mrs. Otti-Essienette said the decision to empower 44 women was symbolic and borne out of gratitude to God for His faithfulness.

” Distinguished Fathers and Mothers of the Day, Special Guests of Honour, sponsors, partners, community leaders, members of the press, beneficiaries, family, friends, ladies and gentlemen.  I welcome you all.

“Today, I stand before you with a heart full of gratitude.

“As I celebrate my 44th birthday, I have chosen not merely to mark another year of life, but to celebrate God’s faithfulness through service to humanity.” She noted.

Mrs. Otti-Essienette, said : The number 44 is more than my age. It represents a call to impact 44 lives in a tangible way.

According to her, the empowerment was designed to provide immediate relief and sustainable support to vulnerable women in the community.

Beneficiaries received various forms of assistance aimed at improving their livelihoods.

The unveiling of *The Grace and Impact Foundation* signals Mrs. Otti-Essienette’s long-term commitment to humanitarian service.

The foundation, she noted, will focus on women empowerment, widow support, education, and community development initiatives.

Guests at the occasion commended her for using her birthday to give back rather than for personal celebration.

Many described the gesture as timely, especially given the current economic realities facing widows and indigent families.

In her remarks, Mrs. Otti-Essienette, who serves as the liaison between Abia State Government and the Abia community in Lagos, reaffirmed her dedication to public service and to uplifting the less privileged.

She expressed appreciation to sponsors, partners, and all who supported the event, noting that the foundation will rely on collaborations to expand its reach across Lagos and beyond.

The event also featured goodwill messages, prayers for beneficiaries, and presentations to the 44 women empowered.

is expected to roll out further programs in the coming months targeted at women, youths, and vulnerable groups.
