Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans has been assigned the number 18 shirt at Manchester United following his move from Aston Villa.
The former Leicester player recently became the Red Devils’ third signing of the summer, following the acquisitions of Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow.

He moved to Old Trafford for £35 million after his release clause was triggered, signing a five-year deal until 2031.
Expressing his delight after signing the contract, Tielemans said: “It’s hard to describe just how proud I am to join Manchester United. Signing for such a special club feels incredible.
”It is the culmination of years of dedication since I first fell in love with football.”

The 29-year-old is now expected to compete with the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, and Santos for a place in the double pivot of Michael Carrick’s 4-2-3-1 shape.
Tielemans previously donned the No. 18 shirt at his two previous Premier League clubs, Leicester City and Aston Villa.
Previous holders of the number at United include Casemiro, who recently departed the club, and club captain Bruno Fernandes, who later switched to the No. 8.
Before that duo, former defender Ashley Young and United legend Paul Scholes had sported the number on their backs.
