The rift originally began when Seyi was conspicuously absent from Zion’s birthday party, despite her close bond with his mother. In response to the snub, Wumi later called Seyi out on social media, even mocking her over her struggles to conceive.

However, in her latest IG post, Seyi Edun revealed that they have chosen “growth, understanding, and a fresh start”, labelling their past feud a test of time.

Sharing her thoughts in the now-viral post, she wrote: “They say time and distance can test a friendship, but they can also prove how deep the roots go together. Reconnecting with you has been one of the highlights of my year, and it reminded me of the beautiful bond we have always had.

“Our reconnection has shown me just how much our bond matters. I’m so glad we chose growth, understanding, and a fresh start.”

Responding to the post, Wumi Toriola confirmed the reconciliation, admitting that she had “genuinely” missed their friendship.

Taking to the comments section, she wrote: “Ashabi, I genuinely miss us. Love you so much, dear friend, and thanks for the huge gift. I’m grateful we came back to our senses. Love you.”
