Human rights activist and politician, Aisha Yesufu, has thrown down a challenge to the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, asking him and the authorities to bring out the CCTV footage of the kidnappers of the Oyo schoolchildren and teachers.

She made the demand early on Saturday via a post shared on her verified X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Yesufu was responding to Keyamo, who had earlier asked the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, to apologise to airport authorities and pay a fine of N25 million.

According to him, the former Anambra State governor breached airport parking protocols at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Keyamo noted, “Luckily enough, the entire Abuja airport is covered by CCTV cameras, real-time, 24/7. But apparently, this fact was unknown to Mr. Peter Obi. Otherwise, perhaps he would have been more circumspect before rushing to the media to cry ‘persecution’.”

Reacting to the statement the minister shared on social media, Yesufu accused him of “majoring in the minor”.

She wrote, “Pathetic cowards! Let them bring out the CCTV of the kidnappers that took away children in Oyo or of the ones that have been terrorising citizens. Majoring in the minor is all they are freaking good at.”

Meanwhile, Obi in a recent interview alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government was after his life, claiming he faces frustration on a daily basis.
