It is night and the wind is cold.
On the other side of the river,
Several tongues of fire cluster.

Incomplete outlines of swaying bodies jigsaw,
As mermaid worshippers dance,
To hypnotizing sounds of drums and clatters.
Singing their moving melodious lyrics,
Undecipherable to the un-initiated.
