I was a bus conductor, APC didn’t make me rich – Joe Igbokwe

Former Lagos spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has debunked claims that he was made rich by being a member of the ruling party.

According to Igbokwe, his wealth didn’t come from the ruling party but from his personal resourcefulness.

He recalled being a bus conductor in Lagos and was involved in petty businesses before becoming successful.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe said, “Some people will see me today and think in their wildest imaginations that I am rich because I belong to APC Nigeria.

“My story will choke you to the marrows. I  started feeding my mother when I was in primary school in the 70s. I fetched fire woods for sale. I fetched water for sale.

“I planted yam for people, I was a bus conductor in Lagos, I started a restaurant business as a graduate. I sold motor parts and I sold cars in Western Avenue  in Lagos and I buy and sell lands, I am an author of 5 books etc. today I am a fulfilled man. One thing led to another.”

Igbokwe has been constantly attacked online following his support for the ruling party and President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
