Comoros on Monday annihilated Sudan by a 30-0 aggregate scoreline in the first round of the qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games.
The Coelacanths, who had earlier won the first leg 17-0, completed the rout with another 13-0 victory in the reverse fixture.
Comoros will, however, be rewarded with a stern test against the Super Falcons—Africa’s most successful side—in the next round of the qualifiers.

Despite the feat and their relentless attacking exhibition against the Sudanese, the island nation will be aware that Nigeria are overwhelming favourites in the encounter.
Justine Madugu’s side defeated Senegal 3-0 in a friendly at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, on Monday night.
The West Africans had claimed a 2-1 victory against the Teranga Lionesses in an earlier friendly last week.
The second-round qualifiers will be played between 5 and 13 October 2026, and two countries will represent Africa in the women’s football event of the 2028 Olympic Games, to be staged in Los Angeles, USA.
