Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has said Nigeria ought to have beaten Poland during both sides’ 2-2 international friendly draw on Wednesday in Warsaw, but for a few errors.

He made this known while addressing reporters in the post-match mixed zone, where he noted that two late goals in both halves cost Nigeria the victory.

Upon resumption in the second half, Paul Onuachu put the Super Eagles back in front once again, but a wonderful stoppage-time strike from Przemysław Wiśniewski rescued a draw for Poland.

Speaking on the match, Bassey said he and his teammates needed to make adjustments given how they conceded both goals.

The Fulham defender said: “We should have got the win. Two late goals in both halves. It shows there was something we could adjust.
